Charge magic points
At a Crystal spire, open Charge MP if your character qualifies. Enter the desired number of turns and review the points added.
The original game stores these magic points in the same research-points balance used for some other progress, even though the interface labels them MP. Automated daily grants should not be assumed without checking the current game.
