Open Fleet design plans to associate a saved ship design with one of your existing fleets. Choose a named configuration and the fleet, then use Assign saved design to fleet plans.

This records a plan or blueprint association. It does not fabricate ships, change fleet hardware or deduct construction resources. To build actual ships, use an owned Shipyard building when its construction commands are available.
